My name is Jenny Lagos and I am one of two nurses at Grace King High School. I graduated from LSU Health Science Center with my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in December of 2008. My nursing background includes 8 years at Children’s Hospital working in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. This is my 5th year working for Jefferson Parish Public School System, four of which have included servicing Grace King. This warms my heart dearly as I love the relationship I have developed with our wonderful and diverse students.
My name is Sarah Manale and I am a part time nurse at Grace King. I graduated from Charity Nursing School in 2007 and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in May of 2014. I have been a school nurse since April of 2016. This is my first year at Grace King and it has been a great experience. The faculty and staff truly care about the students and will go above and beyond to see them thrive as young adults.
The health services provided at school include but are not limited to:
- Student assessments
- Training and provision for health maintenance procedures
- Provisions for medication administration
- Screenings for vision and hearing
- Health counseling and follow-up
- Health education
Please inform Health Services immediately if your child has an illness or a potentially life-threatening condition such as: Seizure Disorder, Diabetes, Life-Threatening Allergic Reaction, Asthma, Heart Condition or Other. We also ask that you keep us informed of any health changes throughout the school year so that the appropriate health care can be coordinated for your child.

If your child requires medication during the school day, whether it is prescription or over the counter, the medication must be checked in according to Jefferson Parish Public School System Medication Policy (Parent Handbook). The forms below may be important to you if your child needs medication or has a health condition. Please feel free to contact the school nurse if you have any questions, or do not have access to print these documents.
