Service is a way of life for members of the Grace King Key Club, and their efforts extend far into our community. Accompanied by Key Club Sponsor Ms. Terri Tahvildari, students spent their Saturday sorting and boxing 2.5 TONS of donated food items for Second Harvest. Second Harvest serves as the metropolitan area’s primary food bank. If you’ve shopped at Rouses, you’ll notice brown bags grocery that may be “purchased” upon check out. These grocery bags, and donations made by those in the community, are taken to the Second Harvest location in Harahan and sorted by volunteers, such as our Grace King students, for distribution.
Our Grace King students strive to show their Fighting Irish P.R.I.D.E. every day, on campus and around our community. They truly have hearts of gold.
