Being a new teacher at a school is always nerve racking, but what is it like when you come from a school that is almost identical in design to your previous school ? Meet the newest English teacher, Ms. Stabbe, who recently arrived from L.W. Higgins High School after working there for two years. Grace King and Higgins are practically identical in structure but that’s where the similarities end.
Ms. Stabbe was looking for a new home, metaphorically speaking, and she decided to look at the schools on the Eastbank. She had heard wonderful things about Grace King which only made her even more excited when she was offered a an Englsih position. She didn’t doubt coming to Grace King for even a second, and her expectations have all been met. The moment she stepped foot on campus, she was floored by the respect she received from both the teachers and students. She loves her students and plans on staying here for years to come.
Ms. Stabbe is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she attended Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. She then moved on to Ohio University, where she earned a BA in English Creative Writing.
Although she lives the ahectic schedule of a teacher, she finds joy in the simple things. Ms. Stabbe enjoys watching Netflix and knitting in her free time. She also loves to read; she enjoys sitting down with a cup of coffee and reading until night time. We’re thrilled to have her here in the Kingdom!
