Ms. Charlie writes, “I was born in Slidell, Louisiana and grew up in Kenner. I spent my high school years at Mount Carmel Academy and received my degree from the University of New Orleans. I have been teaching Spanish for 12 years now! I previously taught in St. Charles, Plaquemines, and St. John Parishes, but Grace King has been my favorite so far! We have the BEST students and faculty here, and I’m so happy to be a part of this school! Even though I teach Spanish, I’m not a native speaker. I am actually a mix of Japanese, Italian, and German, but I don’t know any of those languages. I guess you can say that I’m a mutt!
Ms. Charlie adds, “I absolutely LOVE traveling! I love to learn how other cultures live and experience their customs, and most importantly, eat their food! Aside from teaching and traveling, I also love to read and exercise. I’m having a blast at King, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the school year brings!”
We’re glad that your travels have brought you to the KINGdom, Ms. Charlie!
